Will You Be Mine?

I have been thinking about sending out a Valentine’s Day card since I mailed out my Christmas cards.  But of course, I was scrambling at the last minute.  I just discovered Smilebox – where you can send personalized ecards.  Perfect… a Valentine’s ecard it is!  Maybe next year I can get my act together – or at least find a better Valentine’s Day outfit for little Beckham!  That “Sweetheart” t-shirt isn’t exactly what I envisioned.  But, there were no Valentine’s bibs to be found at Babies ‘R Us or Target this weekend.  I happened to find this little t-shirt as I was about to checkout at Target – $1 and 30% off!  For one picture, it was worth it.

♥-Day Traditions

For the last five or so years, we’ve been celebrating Valentine’s Day with the Codes.  Jordan and JP make dinner (well, JP makes dinner and Jordan supervises!).  The girls relax and enjoy being served!  Jordan also picks a movie for us to watch after dinner, which has yet to be a true Valentine’s Day flick.  This year we watched “The Invention of Lying”.  We’re actually improving from years past – Pride & Glory, The Departed and The Waitress.  Paige and I decided we were going to pick the movie next year.

The menu this year: New York Strip with a Dark Chocolate Glaze and Buffalo Mac & Cheese.  It was delicious!  Paige made a fabulous dessert – a Tiramisu Trifle.  We took a huge risk by taking this picture.  It could have been disastrous!  Beckham is constantly spitting up.  Thank goodness he didn’t ruin the dessert!

We also enjoyed some delicious Wedding Cake Martinis.  Paige has been talking about it for a couple years.  She tried it at a friend’s bridal shower and had wanted to make them ever since.  We haven’t been able to make them until now because Paige was pregnant two years ago and I was pregnant last year.  So, this was the year of the martinis!

Salon Stories

I’m sitting here at the salon getting my hair colored and cut (the gray’s are extra noticeable since Beckham!). What I didn’t realize is that it would be the talk of the town…on every Tampa news station!

I pulled in the parking lot and noticed a Bay New 9 live truck. So I decided to walk over and see if I knew the reporter or photographer. Much to my surprise, I did! Two of my favorites – Emily and Jeff – were doing a story about one of the stylists (not mine) who was attacked while running last night.

Every news crew has been in and out interviewing the woman. She helped the police catch the man who also attacked three other women. She screamed at him and took down his tag number.

If you see a woman in the background with foils and big hair…it’s me! Sherri made sure to put me in the line of fire so I could relive my Bay News 9 days!

And as for the real star of the show – Beckham updates and pictures coming soon.

Happy Birthday, Beckham!

Beckham 2

Yes - Beckham is inside the pumpkin! We took him to a pumpkin patch near our home and picked out a pumpkin just for him (or rather one he would fit in!). Oh the things you'll do for a good picture!

It’s hard to believe – Beckham is already a month old! Everyone said it would go by so fast… why is that the truth?!?! Justin and I feel so blessed – Beckham is such a good baby. He’s on a good three hour schedule… eat, play, sleep (lots of it!).

We had my friend, Shem, come over to the house and take his one month old pictures. My nephew, Jakson, was also in town. My mom made them a matching outfit and hats and we wanted to get some pictures of them together. She did a fabulous job – they turned out beautiful! Being a new mom, I learn something new every day. On this particular day, I learned there are challenges when trying to take a baby’s picture. They don’t always cooperate! My son is not a fussy baby – he makes a lot of noises, but he really doesn’t cry unless he has a super-messy diaper or needs to eat.  All this to say, on picture day he was NOT himself.  He cried and cried. I’m sure it was all the outfit changes, the obnoxious hats and the pumpkin I made him sit in!  (Come to find out Beckham was on the verge of getting sick – he had a low grade fever and a stuffy nose.  Poor little man.)

Becks did not want to be without his pacifier – not exactly the “prop” I had in mind for his photo shoot! I would pull the pacifier from his mouth and quickly step aside so Shem could snap some photos before he started to cry again! Shem was so patient and captured some great photos in spite of this. Becks also did not want to curl up in a ball like newborns do – something else that’s very unusual. Many of you know Beckham was a Frank Breech baby which means his legs were up by his head. He was literally a sandwich! For the last month, he’s been in a little ball with his legs up! I’m not sure what happened on picture day – but he decided to try a new position! Oh well, it’s a day I will never forget!

Here’s a look at some of the pictures she took. They were taken in our backyard – I’ve never been so happy to live in “The View”!

My mom knitted this pumpkin hat for Beckham. It’s so cute on him!!!

I knitted this elf hat for Beckham. Justin thinks it's ridiculous - but I just had to have it for pictures!

Beckham 5

Beckham and Cousin Jakson who is 7 months old. Beckham is wearing an outfit Justin wore when he was 3 months old. Needless to say, it's a little big but wanted him to wear it anyway because my mom copied it and made one for Jakson.

Shem is so creative. The light inside the house wasn’t very good so we decided to move outside. Shem had a vision to move one of my chairs outside – what a great idea! One man’s trash is another’s treasure (thank you Jordan and Paige!).

Beckham 8

Beckham loves to cuddle and sleep on my chest. It’s the sweetest thing ever!

Beckham Coming HomeThis is now the new unofficial home for all things new with the Pullaro’s.

I’m so sorry for not getting this going soon… my husband is a bit too technical with these things, and we had to simplify big time.

So, check here often as we now have everything ready to go.
